Along the entire Costa Blanca you will find many different types of beaches.

Playa del Carrer La Mar & Playa Muchavista, El Campello
El Campello in total has an extensive coastline of about 23 km (14.29 miles). The popular beach of El Campello is located only a 10-minute drive from Finca Bilou. This beach is about 1.85 km (1.5 miles) long and can be found right on the promenade of the city and next to the fish market. Thanks to the fine sand, beautiful sea and the many facilities, this is a unique place for a great day out. This is a great beach for families because during the summer there is a lot of entertainment for children.

Another well-known beach is Playa Muchavista. This beach is about 3.3 km (2.05 miles) long and this beach ultimately turns into Playa de San Juan in Alicante. In the summer, there are many activities here, there is a beach library and many water sports are offered. You can also rent beach chairs and umbrellas and various food and drinks are available on the beach. The beach is also easily accessible for people with disabilities.

Do you prefer more peaceful and authentic beaches? If so, Playa de L’Almadrava and Playa La Cala Nostra in the north are good options. Scuba diving enthusiasts should visit the area of Illeta dels Banyets.

Playa del Postiquet, Alicante
Playa del Postiguet is located right to the city center of Alicante, adjacent to a beautiful boulevard. This is a wide clean sandy beach which offers many facilities, such as showers, play areas for children and a floating water playground (fees do apply). Also, in the winter when the weather is less perfect, this is a great place to start walking to San Juan to watch the big pounding waves!

Guardamar del Segura
One of the most beautiful beaches south of Alicante can be found in Guardamar. It is a beautiful 10 km (6.21 miles) long stretch of fine sand. The long sandy beach has a children’s play area and is a popular place among surfers thanks to the big waves. The Guardamar coastline offers both urban beaches as well as a mix of secluded coves, ideal for swimming or snorkeling.

La Granadella, Javea
According to the Spanish, Playa de la Granadella is supposed to be ‘ the best beach of Spain ‘. Not entirely surprising, as it is in a picturesque horseshoe shaped Bay with clear turquoise waters, surrounded by jagged rocks and pine trees. An amazing picture! Thanks to the clear waters this beach is the perfect place for snorkelers who like to watch the colorful fish under the water surface. La Granadella is only 220 meters (721 feet) long and very popular with beach goers. It is advisable to go to this beach early to pick a spot!
